Research infrastructure

NGL, the National Geosphere Laboratory, is a proposed Swedish national research infrastructure for research into the geosphere – the Earth’s surface and its underground environment. The proposed national research infrastructure has wide-ranging applications across a number of disciplines, including geosciences, earth system science, environmental science and technology, material and energy science and technology, and civil engineering.

The proposed NGL national research infrastructure consists of two main components: a set of physical facilities and an open research database.
